News and case studies home - Making Dream Housing Accessible Housing for All

Building for the future in some EU countries - and doing it efficiently - seems about as possible as drawing blood from a stone. Gladly, things are now changing for the better, with the key people responsible for building environment starting to realise that people of today will no longer accept anything less than greater choice of living.

At the Lord Moser Plc, their Design Research and Building centre in Kingston, Surrey, Building Designers are busy working on a system to build not one but hundreds of concept buildings all across Europe, varying from residential houses to commercial and office space. These are to meet the efficiency goals of new, everyday EU environmental legislation, as well as to facilitate a complete new living environment for the new century.

A team of environmental designers at Lord Moser are now studying ways to improve quality of life within communities. Their brief is to create an environment where individuals do not feel discriminated or dislocated by the traditional "conveyor belt" type of concept living that has been so prevalent in the past. Traditional mass production practices have failed to pay basic attention to people, especially environmental changes and society greater awareness to better living. Now architects, planners and governments in certain countries are waking up to the consequences of such bad design. Lack of human empathy and thinking, coupled with the gross failure of architects, designers, planners and governments to embrace fundamental human values before embarking upon building living spaces suitable to integrate environment as whole, has resulted the most appalling breeding grounds for alienation within society has been created, which today is costing millions of euros to rectify.

Gladly, things are now changing for the better, with the key people responsible for building environment starting to realise that people of today will no longer accept anything less than greater choice of living. As result, there is now a myriad of building contractors and supplier's world-wide ready to cash in. Today more than ever, one can choose the style, profile, and concept of house that best suits one's needs, without having to endure the imposing of retrograde, outmoded, period living that does not comply with basic needs of today's society.

We have to move forward and the time is now!

"The premier Pilot Test in Guilford, Surrey"

No, this is not about gathering together the most radical architects to build "weird" housing to suit an elite few. What Lord Moser Plc is offering here, is a unique opportunity to demonstrate that beautiful housing, and great living, can be achieved at a sensible cost, and is an ideal that everyone - regardless of their powers of purchasing - people can buy into and enjoy here and now.

The Lord Moser Plc residential building concept is foremost designed to harmonise with the environment, enabling people to embrace being part of nature for their immense personal satisfaction, and nurture this good living. Salvadeor Priost, Head of Design, creates visionary concepts that demonstrate these core principles. His work exists as a standard to rally those pioneering architects and designers to break the mould of post war housing, with its Victorian layouts that are so unkind to both the environment and people, and to replace it with showpieces of elegance that are nothing short of pure common sense.

This new team of builders and designers will not only focus on modern building for the future, but highlight the necessity for building housing that is accessible for all, not just the privileged. It will bring stylish and sumptuous living, with green spaces for relaxation of moods. People will be able to enjoy different spaces within their home without having to redesign their house every so often. This will be reinforced by the value added, that is; the immense care and attention for the environment where savings in energy, water, heating and pollution will be scrutinised by a method of apparatus that will be accessible to everyone.

During this ground-breaking launch planned for early 2009, everyone will have the opportunity to share this new design concept through participating with suggestions and ideas for a further hundred houses that will act as symbols of accessible desire, and are to be built in strategic locations throughout Europe.

Helping to meet the first mission

In order to achieve this, Lord Moser has teamed up with a panel of developers, architects, environmental experts, social psychologists, modern anthropologists, designers and engineers. A first prototype will be ready for public viewing this year, with an initial scheme for the first houses being drafted for exhibition and sale shortly after. Everyone is welcome to participate in whatever capacity they feel strongly about and to take advantage of this involvement by having first choice in the acquisition of these homes before they are sold on the open market.

Lord Moser Plc delivers building and design services for homes and commercial spaces with flexible solutions, through the utility of reliable materials and products, the knowledgeable application of expertise, and responsive support. Lord Moser design services are provided through a European network of dedicated architectural and design experts based in locations all across Europe.
